About Me

Nick
I was born in Germany in 1983 in the former capital of Bonn. My mother is German and my father is American. I have one sister named Tanya who is turning 27 today! (9-10-1980). I lived in Germany, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, and finally arriving in Maryland in 1989 where I would live until moving to Berlin with my mom and dad for one year. In 2002 I started school at Earlham College in Indiana and studied for four years finally reaching a decision to major in Sociology/Anthropology. After college I did a road trip across the US (and back) with my friend Charles Howard-Mckinney. We camped/hiked in 12 National Parks and ate a lot of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. Afterwards I recieved notice about an Americorps job in Seattle and one week later I was on my way to tutoring and doing community service with Middle Schoolers for 10 months. I continued by stay in Seattle for the summer after the americorps program working as a staff member with Outdoors for All which provides outdoor activities for developmental disability youth. Now after staying back home in Maryland for 2 weeks I am a journey that Ricardo and I have been talking about for the past year and a half.
